Peer Review Process

The International Journal for Global Studies and Research (IJGSR) follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure that every published manuscript meets the highest standards of academic quality, originality, and ethical publishing. Throughout the review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential, ensuring a fair, impartial, and unbiased evaluation.

The peer-review process is aimed at evaluating the scientific value, relevance and quality of each submission submitted and to give constructive criticism to the author(s) to enhance the research prior to publication.

1. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted via the official submission system or the designated submission e-mail of the journal. If the manuscript is accepted upon submission, the editorial office notifies the author of its receipt and starts the preliminary evaluation.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Each manuscript is carefully considered by the editorial staff to see if it meets the aims and scope of the journal. At this point, the manuscript will be reviewed for:

  • Originality and relevance of the research.
  • Compliance with the journal's submission guidelines.
  • Overall structure, clarity, and academic presentation.
  • Ethical compliance and plagiarism screening.
  • Completeness of the manuscript and supporting information.

Manuscripts which fail to satisfy these basic requirements will be returned to the writer for correction or rejection before being sent for peer-review.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

The manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to independent reviewers who have expertise in the field. The journal uses a double blind process for reviewing manuscripts in which the authors' and reviewers' names are not disclosed during the review.

The Manuscript is evaluated by reviewers according to:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.
  • Research methodology and technical accuracy.
  • Significance of the study and its contribution to the field.
  • Clarity of writing and logical presentation.
  • Validity of results and conclusions.
  • Quality of references and supporting literature.
  • Compliance with ethical research standards.

The reviewers also make detailed comments and suggestions to enhance the quality of the manuscript.

4. Editorial Decision

The reviewers' reports are then submitted to the Editorial Board for a careful consideration of the recommendations and the final decision on the manuscript. The choice can be among the following decisions:

  • Accepted for publication.
  • Accepted with minor revisions.
  • Major revisions required before reconsideration.
  • Rejected if the manuscript does not meet the journal's academic or ethical standards.

The decision is made and conveyed to the corresponding author with reviewers' comments.

5. Author Revision

Authors are required to carefully respond to each of the reviewer's comments and re-submit the revised manuscript within the allotted time period if revisions are requested. Authors may also include a response to explain how any suggested revisions have been accomplished, where applicable.

The manuscript will be sent back to the reviewers for further revision if significant changes are required or if it is deemed that more revision is necessary before the final decision is reached.

6. Final Acceptance and Publication

If the manuscript meets the editorial and reviewers' criteria, it is accepted for publication. The accepted manuscript goes through the last steps of copyediting, formatting, proofreading, assigning DOI and online publication.

This published article is then published on the open access platform of the journal, which puts it at the maximum reach of researchers around the world.

7. Our Commitment to Quality

IJGSR is dedicated to preserving a transparent, confidential and ethical peer-review procedure. All manuscripts are judged purely on their academic merit and originality, and the quality of their research and relevance to the scope of the journal, and not on national, institutional, gender, or professional background.

The International Journal for Global Studies and Research (IJGSR) upholds the highest standards of scholarly excellence, research integrity and academic credibility through a structured and objective review process, in which all published articles provide valuable knowledge to the global research community.
